It operates on 4 AA batteries for up to 18 days storing up to 12000 positions, and incorporates a valuable energy saving motion recognition circuit. Installation of the Pro Scout unit requires a user to simply attach it to the vehicle. An industrial strength magnetic mount in also incorporated. It may take as little as 30 seconds to install and remove the Pro Scout. A more discrete placement of the GPS tracking unit may require more time. The motion recognition circuit shuts the unit down when the vehicle is stationary for longer than 5 minutes, saving valuable energy.
